Sip & Ship Ships Shoes For Haiti

February 13th, 2010

Pacific Crest Middle School got the support it needed from the Ballard/Greenwood Sip & Ship to have volumes of donated shoes packed and shipped to Soles 4 Souls, a non-profit outreach organization that gives away a pair of shoes every 12 seconds to needy children and adults around the world.  Approximately 200 pounds of various shoe sizes and styles, including size 11 green Converse and pink sparkly Mary Janes, were packed and shipped and are headed to victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Way to go Pacific Crest Middle School!

“Thank you for your excellent packaging!!!” – David H.

January 17th, 2010

Hi Diana and Steve,

Last week, I was directed to rush to my firm’s San Francisco office to install an external hard disk cabinet (very dense metal case full of hard drives) that weighs about 80lbs.  From past experience, I knew that if not packaged correctly, this cabinet would get damaged.  Since it was critical that it went on the flight with me to San Francisco that night, I had to get expert packaging help in a hurry.  I called your Ballard store and explained my situation and was relieved to hear that you believed you could help me.  I dropped it off at your store (along with some related parts) and ran some errands while you and/or your staff prepared the packaging.  About one hour later, I returned and the package was ready.  Your employees loaded it for me and I was on my way.

When I began my work in San Francisco, I opened the box with much trepidation (there was a lot riding on this hardware).  I was ecstatic to see just how well packaged it was.  Obviously, it took a lot of effort and skill to pack it so well.  Even the fans at the back of the cabinet were protected.  I bet that even if the box was dropped during transport, the disk cabinet would have been unharmed.  Anyway, the hardware worked great.

I really appreciate the effort it took to take care of this packaging request.  Your store was really busy during this time but you still found a way to accomplish my request.

I just wanted to thank you and let you know just how impressed I am with your excellent customer service.

I wish you and yours a very Happy Holiday season!

Sincerely,

Dave H.
